After the incident, the Red Army where incorporated into the KuoMingTang or Chinese army. The Red Army got the name Eighth Route Army in KMT and was the biggest part of two units in the KMT. Eighth Route Army was basically a very useful guerrilla army. Sometime at the end of WW Two, the Red Army was renamed to PLA and that is the current name. On the square you'll see a lot of symbols for 81 revolutionary moments in Nanchang history.
